Timers Give You Wings

Life has its own hidden forces which you can only discover by living

-Soren Kierkegaard

Somewhere over the last few months I started doing 90 minute ‘Power Jams.’

During November, I discovered the thrill of the 10 minute sprint.

Timers create magic.

Magic create words.

It’s unbelievable how much you get done.

Try it.

Love and light,

Anushka xx

  1. We must be on the same wavelength! I had just finished up an intense one hour long timed writing session, that produced 2228 words for Nano, and found this little gem of a post in my email. I definitely swear by the timer when it comes to crunch time.
Although sometimes I wish there was a bit less crunch and more leisure. 🙂

  2. I love the timer. I set it for 30 minutes, quit stalling and start typing. When the chime sounds I’m so immersed, I just keep pounding out the words. Strange the way we writers tease ourselves along with these preset minutes – timers must be our muses in disguise.
